The quote form specifically

Form submissions are processed by Netlify, who host this site, and are delivered to our email. The form also records a reference number and the page you submitted from, so we can see what you were reading when you got in touch. It carries a hidden field and a timing check to block automated spam; neither collects anything about you.

Please do not put anything sensitive in the form. It is a website enquiry, not a secure channel.

Cookies and analytics

The site sets one strictly necessary item in your browser's local storage: your answer to the cookie banner, so we do not ask again. That is required to honour your choice and does not need consent.

If you accept analytics, we load Google Analytics 4, which sets its own cookies to distinguish visitors and sessions. If you reject, or ignore the banner, no analytics script is loaded at all. We do not load it first and disable it afterwards. You can change your mind at any time on our cookies page.

Who else sees your data

  • Netlify, who host this site and process form submissions.
  • Google, if and only if you accepted analytics.
  • Our email provider, because your enquiry arrives as an email.
  • Meta, if you choose to contact us on WhatsApp, under their own terms.
  • Professional advisers, and anyone we are legally required to disclose to.

Some of these providers process data outside the UK. Where that happens we rely on UK adequacy regulations or on the standard contractual clauses with the UK addendum, as applicable to that provider.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not become work: up to 24 months, then deleted.
  • Client records: for the duration of the engagement and then six years, which is how long we may need them for tax and legal purposes.
  • Analytics: retained according to the retention period set in Google Analytics, which is a maximum of 14 months for the data it holds against a visitor.
  • Server logs: a short rolling period held by our hosting provider.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal data we hold about you, and give you a copy;
  • correct it if it is wrong;
  • delete it, where we have no continuing reason to keep it;
  • restrict how we use it, or object to us using it under legitimate interests;
  • send it to you or another provider in a portable format, where that right applies;
  • withdraw consent for analytics, which you can do yourself on the cookies page.

Email hello@rewiredwebsites.com and we will respond within one month. There is no charge. If you are not happy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we would rather you told us first so we can put it right.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use personal data we will update this page and change the review date at the top. This version was last reviewed on 8 September 2026.
